You just inherited a dilapidated, crumbling-down grand mansion in the countryside. Assuming money is no issue, what do you do with it?
Well, in the words of Coldplay in a Rush of Blood to the Head: “Funny, all the movements I started to make, seem to crumble…and fall on my face…”
Having recently closed a property ownership chapter. Would I burn it down? Probably not. Besides all that, I would create an animal sanctuary for the unwanted, or differently abled, or the old. I would also create a bed and breakfast, where I would revive my practice of Reiki and create a meditation and mindfulness retreat. There would be roses creeping around the doors and windows, a sustainable vegetable garden based on Permaculture principles, with a circular herb garden planted as a labyrinth that one could walk for meditation. The house would use solar power and rain water, with grey water re-usage. It would be beautiful. There would be many animals, the smell of baking, smell of herbs, laughter and life. What a sad and happy idea.
